Think positive

Mind your own business! Sound familiar? Does it resonate with you at all?

Whether you’re an office gossip who can always find something to say about someone or if you’re more like me who keeps to yourself and can always find something nice to say or won’t say anything–we’re all guilty.   Sometimes we let our minds run away. We let the enemy poke our brain, rumble our peace and thunder our contentment.

What did she say?

I don’t think she likes me…

pretty sure they got quiet when I walked in because they were talking about ME.

Let confidence precede you. This quote hit me.  I’m confident, bubbly, over the top, out-going… until I have that inkling eating me up.  Til that suspicion crawls over me like a poised scorpion waiting to strike. Those consuming thoughts that keep me up all night: “I said too much. They only tolerate me. She wouldn’t invite me if I wasn’t standing there.  If I dropped off the planet no one would notice.”

It’s a vicious cycle which Satan revels in.  Our weaknesses fuel him, if we let it.

The Lord calls us to greater things. He calls us to himself.

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said to me ‘for my grace is sufficient for you.  For power is perfected in weakness.’

As Paul reminds the Philippians to keep their diligence around them, we’re constantly challenged but never expected to face these challenges alone.

Philippians 4:8 Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable–if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise–dwell on these things.

Do everything for His glory, not your own and certainly not for someone else.
